Welcome, Kunal. The newest member of Team Doris, based in Noida, a satellite city of Delhi, where he lives with his wife and 5-year-old son. Kunal describes himself as a fun-loving person who loves to travel and explore. 'I love watching movies and listening to songs during my leisure hours', shares Kunal.
Kunal is our eyes, ears and insight on the ground in India. With a strong sense of place, Kunal connects the team here in Suffolk with our growing network of craftspeople in India - the artists and makers who bring our designs to life. Kunal ensures the production process runs as smoothly as possible - ensuring our collections are QC'ed, delivered on time and under fair and ethical conditions. 
'I don't consider my job as a job. I love my work, and I admit I'm a workaholic. I love to start work early, address my emails, and then get busy in the field - the crafts community. A to-do list is essential when I start and end my day'.
As a growing brand, it’s important we stay connected with our suppliers daily and fully support them through the production process as demand increases. Having Kunal (and all his traditional knowledge and experience) onboard makes everything feel more local - slick and joined up. We are also learning so much about the crafts' heritage: the who made it, where and why – which we celebrate with you. 
'The best thing about my job is learning. Every day there's a new learning, a new challenge. I meet new people all the time, which is a great experience. Moreover, the creativity involved pushes me to grow in my role', reveals Kunal.

India remains our go-to, our luxury. The quality of the handwork is phenomenal – local artisans have supported us since we first started back in 2017, sharing their talents and traditions. Kunal's role ensures we reciprocate that support and strengthen our partnerships for a positive future.
