Unforgettable India

They say you never forget your first trip to India - a surprising, challenging and rewarding destination. Our merchandiser Sara joined Katie on her first buying trip ahead of 'High Summer' launching in May. They headed to Greater Noida just outside Delhi for a fix of new season inspiration and supplier catch-ups. 

Here, Sara shares her India-firsts – with a cup of chai in hand. 

I Saw...
So so much. Beautiful colours, fabrics, the most eye-catching arts and crafts; just inspiration and ideas everywhere! 

I Ate...
Spicier food than I am used to and I really liked it! My favourite was some honey spicy chips that Katie ordered and we shared - delicious. And I drank the best cups of tea and coffee, served in terracotta take away cups, chai was spot on. 

I Loved...
Visiting all the wonderful people who work so hard to bring our designs to life, they are so talented, kind and humble. It's fascinating to see it all happening. 

I'll Savour...
The joy of being somewhere so inspirational and such excitement about what we have found to work on for future ranges at My Doris.
